Whew!

I am moved in. I FINALLY have the internet BACK! And I have a wedding this weekend to attend, going out of town next weekend and I'm totally BUSY with work these next few weeks. So NO pictures yet of the new place. It's too much of a mess for me to want to share it with you! But onward to better things.

I have been a Blackberry girl for the last two years. And let me tell you, I LOVE that blackberry. So organized and simple. Oh and tiny. Pocket size----so important to a chica. Especially this one who is busy chasing kiddos around all day.

But the time had come (and the upgrade was calling my name) for a switch. I have been really anti-touch screen because everytime I would try one it made me NUTS. But I've also been REAL jelly over all you guys and your SUPER CUTE Instagram pictures all over my twitter every.single.day. Did I mention that I've been jealous? So this week I caved. I made the hard fun decision to buy an iPhone. And the day it arrived I was waiting at the door (because of course when the Fedex truck pulls up to your place you instantaneously run to the front door and wait like an eager puppy). And it was beautiful in it's simple sleek box.

And what did I download FIRST? Before Facebook, Twitter or any crazy cool games, fashion advice, weather bug, etc.Well of course INSTAGRAM. And I am in LA LA LOVE with it. I take pictures of anything and everything folks. Sorry if you're following me. I'll get over it in the next year or so.

So today I want to share a day in the life of my iPhone instagram. Which I present to you in these glorious photos of course.

{ONE} My dresses arrived from Modcloth and I was so excited to finally try them on. You may remember them from this post. Thanks for all of your feedback and I'll be sure to post the winner after the wedding this weekend!
{TWO} The little lovelies that I work with everyday. They love being sweet.
{THREE} Delicious dinner with my man on the first warm-ish day at the PDX foodcarts. Seriously amazing stuff.
{FOUR} My latest giveaway win that I just adore! Won it from this amazing blog! They promote your shop and even host giveaways. Check them out for reals.
{FIVE}My NEW TOMS! I am so stinking excited about these. The lovely Kim from Yellow Songbird who so SWEETLY bought them for me and sent them as they were sold out online and she found them in her town! Isn't that the nicest? We met over twitter btw. Her blog is pretty great too and she just launched her first line of ADORABLE dresses and makes the cutest coffee cozies. Seriously check her out!
{SIX} Our friends Dan and Mirja are visiting from Germany and they are just the CUTEST. Stealing kisses all the time and they just make me swoon! I wish they could stay here forever!
{SEVEN} Uhhh it was the 4th of July. And we may have had some illegal WHAT?!, I mean regular AWESOME fireworks. First time ever that I could feel firework particles raining down on me. Sort of scary and amazing all at once.
{EIGHT} My man and I being awesome and watching fireworks. I cherish these moments where everything is just....ahhhh.
{NINE} Uh... IKEA duh. Because apparently if you pack your stuff, move it around in the boxes like 5 times in 2 years and then unpack it again finally.... you end up without essential items. Like, eating utensils AND knives. Not sure about that. But for $40 I got everything I needed plus WAY more.


That was my week. I also WORKED alot. And last night got an airbrush spray tan so that I'll look A-mazing in my cute dress for the wedding. But let me tell you....blog post coming about THAT one. Tee-hee.

{A Day in the Life}

THE GIRLFRIEND EDITION


This is me as a girlfriend. I do not cook. Unless you beg me. Then maybe. I like doing laundry and folding and color-coding the drawers. Yep. I like the house to be clean and will spend 2.5 hours scrubbing the grout of the tiles in the shower because I like things to be clean. Also, there is a specific way to load the dishwasher and I prefer to do it myself. Thanks.

I will give you a full pedicure treatment because I don't mind and I like seeing your toes happy and neat. I also don't mind giving back rubs or running my fingers through your hair while watching a movie. I do love baking and hope you will try everything I venture to make. Especially these. Yum.

I do not know what I want to eat; because I am picky. Honestly if you were not with me; you know I'd just eat something silly and small and be PERFECTLY happy about it. Like an artichoke and a diet coke. Mmm. And I do not want to be the one to always make all the decisions everyday even though I know I'll have to because I like to have a plan. I like to hear from you but if I haven't all day I will think of something to text you because I can't wait to talk to you. This usually won't be difficult to do because in a normal 8-10 hour day I usually encounter 25 different things that I can't wait to tell you and sometimes need to make a list.

Work makes me seriously cranky, as do my terrible knees and messed up back. I would love it if you offered a massage but in case you do not; I will drop LOTS of hints. You will have to listen to many stories about kids, their parents, and how I just want time to write and craft but that's just what I need to talk about.

I'm a huge mess. Emotionally I mean. Sometimes I just will need a good cry and want LOTS of hugs from you. This leads me to my point about how passionate and affectionate I am. I need a thousand hugs, kisses, touches and smiles a day. And I will take them whenever I can. Xo.

When all comes down to it.... I just want to wake up next to you and fall asleep in your arms. Everything in between is bonus. But I sure like bonuses too.

Weekends

These are my weekends.

Wake up with my fella. LATE. always. Ahhhh.
He usually makes a little coffee.
And breakfast.
I'm not lazy, he just likes/prefers to cook.
We get on our laptops and do "work" for a couple hours.

Shower. 
And the EVER exciting process of make-up, clothes, etc.
I consider myself a pretty low-maintenance girl.
Especially on the weekends.
I can be ready in 30 mins or less!
Fella thinks it could be even less if I'd just give up the make-up. 
He says he doesn't know why I do it anyway. 
I look gorgeous as is. 
He just doesn't understand the years of conditioning girls have.
And I will go without it.
Sometimes.
He's sweet.

Then after we are finally ready to go somewhere,
We usually have plans with friends.
Cause my fella enjoys being social.
And sometimes so do I.
IF I can stop thinking of ALL that I need to get done.
So friends,
SORRY if I ever seem distracted or stressed.
I just have SO MUCH on my mind.
ALL THE TIME.

We really love going to enjoy a beer.
Seeing a cheap movie.
Or frozen yogurt!
Or just hanging together is always nice too.

And then.
sometimes.
I am able to get some crafting,
emailing,
and blogging done.
WHICH I LOVE. 
It's great.
We snuggle together.
And my fella helps me by modeling my crafts.
or I might be the one who makes him help. 
And we watch some Netflix,
Or Hulu.
And talk.
And laugh.
And there's the weekend. Pretty much anyway.

{A Day in the Life}

I am in LOVE with linky parties. Have you ever participated? Someone picks a theme, they blog about it, usually it happens weekly, and everyone can join in, blog about their own story of the theme, and "link it up". I'm not always the most consistent with these but I do try and link up with Casey's [On your Heart] every Friday. It's a very reflective and good for my mind to get out all that I didn't even know I was thinking deeply about.

But here's my idea: I will be starting {A Day in the Life}....a weekly linky party where you can tell us about a day in the life of anyone or anything. Tell me about yourself, your dog, your kiddos, your friend who's sick, your husband who's fabulous, just ANYTHING. Tell me about a day as a mother, a wife, a business owner, a crafter....you get the idea. I thought of this while putting on my make-up a few mornings ago. I thought, "this is something I do almost daily....and it's funny because so do MANY others" but the best thing about it is that we all do it differently. A day in your life as an Etsy shop owner is probably nothing like mine; or maybe it's exactly the same. Do you also craft out of a re-usable grocery bag on your boyfriend's couch in the WEE hours of the night?
