When I started college I went with Interior Design as my initial major. I say "initial" because as most people know, I graduated with a B.S. in Early Childhood Ed. But
initially the idea of designing beautiful rooms sounded right up my alley. That was until I found out about drafting. Tara + drafting= a whole lot of cursing and crying. But, that's what I get for being a perfectionist. You know...the inability to do anything without cursing...and sometimes crying.
I do still have a love for design though. And I think I'd rather be a
decorator than a designer anyway. A designer knocks down walls and really re-does a house. I just want to paint, sew and furniture my way to beautiful living. Painting I'm alright at, my sewing machine is still in the box, and I can't afford to buy furniture that I love. But, I will continue to dream of the house I will one day live in.
And here's some of what I'd like to imagine is inside:
| |
| Slate Duvet from West Elm (on sale right now!!!) | | | | | |
 |
| |
| Not for use with children (West Elm) | | |
| |
| Love the warmth of this side table from Pottery Barn |
 |
| |
| Simple chic (Pottery Barn) |
 |
| |
| Now I can find my purse! (Crate & Barrel) | |
| |
| And of course vino (C&B) | |
Those are some of my dream items. Of course they are all crazy expensive, but I've got to get married and register
some day right? Well, maybe.
Happy Saturday afternoon!
