Fall Faves

With October first happening....tomorrow... I decided to share with you some of my faves for fall by courtesy of PINTREST and ETSY. This may or may not be a post that's a bit sad for me because honestly, I'm very homesick for the beautiful Portland, Oregon I just came from {with the leaves changing colors, the cool crisp breeze perfect for scarves and warm drinks like pumpkin spice lattes and apple cider}. California does not have much in the way of fall. So PLEASE someone enjoy these beauties. For me. Please and thank you very much.

And for some lovely pins....

I sincerely LOVE this outfit. So cute and looks entirely cozy also.

PUMPKINS! I want a home that I can deck out in cute pumpkins like this.

What a great and easy idea for decorations. I wonder how long they last!

Fall is coming. At least for some of you. The end.

BEST sale EVER

Right now I'm offering a very special end of September deal. All sale proceeds will be donated to The SHINE Project scholarship fund. Thanks so much and PLEASE share this special sale! Will run until "sale" items are gone.

Little Things

Ya'll  this week has just been craziness and next week is only going to get more NUTZO. Who decided it was a good idea to pick up and move again? Right....me. Well, at least in 6 days I will finally be seeing my honey again. We are missing each other like crazy.

But even with all the crazy going on this week (like my yard sale only having FIVE people show up in the 93 degree heat) I still thought it was important to see the little things that made this time special. Cause after all, I only have one more week to enjoy Oregon before I'm onto a whole new adventure.

So here's my list for the week:

This cute face started preschool this week and did great! I cannot believe I've been her nanny since she was 3 months old and now she's going to school 3 full days a week! AND I only have one more morning with her before I move. I've been crying about this all week.

Gosh I just love her to bits. And will miss that funny sweet little girl SO MUCH.

Also went to the zoo with my other little this last week and we got to see the best thing!

Yes elephants are by FAR my favorite animal and this guy totally dove into the water to take a little bath. It was AMAZING to see him dive under the water and come back out with a trunk full that he would then squirt all over himself. Made my day.

I taught myself to embroider this week! I love the way these onesies are turning out and hopefully soon I'll have them listed in the SHOP. Until then you can still shop and 25% of each sale is going toward The Shine Project's Change 4 Change.

And my final little thing: Knowing that in just 6 days, despite all the mess in my apt, all that I have to get done, and all that hasn't gone well....I will be seeing my man and starting a new journey together. It's really the most exciting thing and it's worth everything to me. I can't wait.

what a weekend

So on Saturday my fella left. I gave him WAY more kisses than I'm sure he could handle and even though I'm leaving myself in just 11 short days... it feels like MANY more. I spent the majority of this weekend doing one thing... making a mess. But it was for a good cause. You have to make a mess before you can organize and pack right?

I'm pretty proud of myself too ya'll. I am selling 3/4 of my closet at a yard sale next weekend and here on my blog. Whaaat? And of the SEVEN boxes I packed this weekend... there's only ONE that I'm actually taking with. Whew.

That's what you gotta do when you move many miles away and you only have the space in your car with which to pack. Today I spent the day working (only 6 more days with my littles) and tomorrow I will be going to the bank to see if I can get pre-approved for a new car loan. My poor car is worn out and honestly I need something more spacious for the move anyway. I'm hoping to be able to get into something tomorrow (or soon) and if so; my mind will be much more at ease.

This Saturday I am having my HUGE yard sale and I'm crossing all my fingers and toes that I will be able to make a little moola for the move and get rid of all sorts of things that I really don't feel like hauling over to Goodwill.

It's going to be a busy 11 days. But that's good. Cause I really miss this face.

Good things SHINE

I am very sure that you know about Ashley over at The Shine Project. And if you don't what are you waiting for? Check out the amazingness that she has going on in Arizona and all over this internet world. From random post it notes to make someone's day to cheering for your enemies.

Currently she is working on something so amazing that I could not help but sign myself up to help in any way possible because I SO support the cause. It's called "Change for Change" and you can read all about it or you can totally jump in and be part of it too!

Her goal is to have 100 people pledge to raise $100 by October for a scholarship that will be given to four students at Cesar Chavez High School in Phoenix, Arizona, to help them pay for their first year of college. Why this school and these students? Ashley has worked personally in this inner-city school and seen the potential in these kids and wants to help.... and so do I!

You can visit her blogbuy a shine necklacepledge your own $100, or even contribute to the silent auction she's having just shoot her an email.

So here's what I've pledged to do to in order to help!

For the entire month of September I will be donating 25% of each sale made in my Etsy shop {before shipping} to Change for Change. And I have made some new cute items for ya'll that are all available in the shop RIGHT NOW.

And the 25% goes for custom orders as well {which I do not charge extra for at this time} so if you have a special request ... let me know.

Do something amazing for someone today and also get some pretty little things for yourself and your hair in the process.  You know, just sayin'.
